Piergiorgio Pradelli was appointed CEO of EFG International and EFG Bank, effective as of 01 January 2018. He is also Chair of EFG International and EFG Bank Executive Committees, as well as of the EFG International Global Business Committee. He further holds several non-executive Board positions in other entities directly or indirectly controlled by EFG International.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, Mr Pradelli held the role of Deputy CEO and CFO at EFG International and EFG Bank since January 2014 and June 2012, respectively. Before joining EFG International, he was Head of International Operations at Eurobank Ergasias SA and a member of the Executive Committee, from 2006 until 2012. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Finance Director in London for EFG Bank European Financial Group SA, from 2003 to 2006, participating in major EFG Bank European Financial Group SA restructuring and strategic initiatives, notably the initial public offering of EFG International in 2005.

Mr Pradelli started his career at Deutsche Bank, working in a number of senior management positions including Head of Private & Business Banking in Italy and Head of Business Development for the Private Clients and Asset Management Group in Frankfurt and London from 1991 until 2003.

Mr Pradelli is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Swiss Asset and Wealth Management Banks (VAV/ABG), and of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce in Zurich.

He holds a degree in economics and business administration from the University of Turin, Italy.

Daniel is Global Head of Research at EFGAM. He was previously employed as a Director of Strategy at Russell Investments, before which he worked as a portfolio manager at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. He began his career at Smithers & Co. Ltd. He has broad investment experience, having worked as an economist, strategist, asset allocator and portfolio manager with exposure to a broad range of markets, instruments and investment styles.

He has been a CFA charterholder since 2003. Daniel has a BSc Hons Degree in Economics, an MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics and a PhD in Economics. In 2009 he was awarded the CFA UK Wincott Prize.

Moz joined EFG Private Bank in 1994. He is the Global CIO of EFGAM and the CEO of EFGAM (UK). As Chairman of the EFGAM Asset Allocation Committee he has overall supervisory responsibility for the investment process. Moz manages New Capital Strategic Portfolio UCITS. He was appointed director and CIO of EFG Private Bank Limited in March 2003 and director of EFGAM in January 2000. In his previous capacity at EFG, Moz has held a number of roles and has been responsible for the management of a series of fixed income funds and portfolios as well as holding supervisory roles in a number of multi-manager long only and hedge funds.  

Moz holds a BSc in Mathematics from Middlesex University and an MBA from Aston University.

Chris manages the New Capital Asia Future Leaders Fund and is co-Manager of the New Capital China Equity Fund having joined EFGAM in 2015 as an Equity Analyst. Previously he worked at Signia Wealth, a wealth management boutique, where he spent three years as an equity investment manager. Before that, he worked at Blackfriars Asset Management, a global emerging markets manager, for three years as an equity research analyst.

Chris has a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Liverpool University, MSc in Accounting and Finance from Bath University and is also a CFA Charterholder.

Jonathan joined EFGAM in March 2017 as an Equity Analyst, and is the portfolio manager for the New Capital Global Equity Conviction Fund, the New Capital Dynamic UK Equity Fund and the New Capital Europe Future Leaders Fund. Prior to joining he worked as an Equity Analyst at AA-Capital, a family office, where he helped manage a long/short fund. Prior to that, he spent five years as an Equity Analyst at Morgan Stanley Quilter. Jonathan started his career in 2005 at Nedbank in Johannesburg where he worked as a sell-side Equity Analyst.

Jonathan has a Masters in Finance from London Business School, an Honours Degree in Econometrics from the University of Johannesburg, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of South Africa. He is also a CFA Charterholder.

Mike joined EFGAM in 2016 as a Senior Portfolio Manager with a sector focus on health care stocks, including pharmaceutical, medical device and health care service names. He has been an investment analyst since 1995 and previously covered this area for all Mazama Capital Management strategies for 13 years. Prior to Mazama, he was a Senior Analyst covering health care technology and pharmaceutical outsourcing stocks at UBS. Previously, he worked as a Healthcare Analyst at CIBC World Markets. Mike started his career as Corporate Lending Officer at PNC Bank.

Mike holds an MBA Hons in Finance and Economics from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a BSc in Finance from Miami University of Ohio. He received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2002.

Fergus Argyle is the co-portfolio manager for the New Capital Emerging Markets Future Leaders Fund. He joined EFG Asset Management in 2022, having previously worked for five years at Somerset Capital, an emerging markets boutique, where he co-managed the Frontier Markets Fund and was a senior analyst.

Prior to that, he spent two years at Mobius Capital as a partner and investment manager. He started his career at BlackRock and spent five years as a credit and equity analyst.

Fergus has a MA (Hons) degree in Classics from the University of Oxford, which included studying at the Saïd Business School. He also studied Arabic at the University of Damascus and in Sana’a, Yemen.

Manuel is a Senior Private Equity Investment Manager at EFG Asset Management, responsible for the Bank’s private markets investments. Manuel was formerly Head of Private Equity Fund Investments & Developments at Societe Generale Private Banking, where he was leading the bank’s private markets investments.

Prior to his role, Manuel was Head of Private Equity at Cape Capital, a leading multi-family office based in Switzerland. Further, Manuel has held senior roles at Credit Suisse Private Banking’s private equity team, Monitor Deloitte’s strategy consulting group and KPMG’s transaction services advisory.

Manuel has a MBA from the Kelley School of Business (Indiana University) and a Master from University of Zurich. Further, he is a Qualified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States.

Ed is Partner and Chief Operating Officer, based in the London Office. He joined Hollyport in May 2011, becoming a Partner in April 2013. During his time at Hollyport he has led over 50 transactions with a focus on the LP transactional side of the business, and has been a member on the Investment Committee since Hollyport’s third fund.

Ed also acts as COO and oversees the operations of the Group, and has been instrumental in building out the non-investment team functions over time, such as the finance monitoring and reporting, HR, compliance, and data analytical functions.

Ed is an FCA after qualifying as an ACA with Deloitte in London, and prior to joining Hollyport worked in corporate finance advisory at two London-based boutique firms. He holds a BSc honours degree in Natural Sciences from Durham University.

Rob Gavin joined Whitehorse in 2016 and has over 14 years of private equity and investment banking experience.

Since joining Whitehorse, Rob has been involved in the diligence, execution and structuring of some of Whitehorse’s largest and most complex transactions.

Prior to joining Whitehorse, Rob spent three years with Denham Capital Management, and three years with BMO Capital Markets. Rob holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Edward Stanley leads Thematic Research at Morgan Stanley. Before this he ran the European Business Services sector at Morgan Stanley between 2018-2021. This followed 5 years covering Business Services at Redburn, latterly running the team from 2017.

Prior to this, Edward graduated from Cass Business School with an MSc in Investment Management. He graduated from UCL in 2012 and has passed all three levels of the CFA program.

Camila joined EFGAM in September 2012 as Senior Portfolio Manager for EFGAM’s New Capital Fixed Income Funds and member of Fixed Income Research Team. She focuses on fixed income portfolio management, strategy and trading.

Camila is a member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation Committee which determines strategy for the New Capital Fund range, institutional accounts and discretionary offerings. Camila became Co-PM for both New Capital Wealthy Nations Bond Fund and New Capital Global Value Credit Fund in 2017.

Camila holds a BSc in Finance and Business Administration from Universidad Catolica de Chile, the IMC and is a CFA Charterholder.

Michael is Head of Fixed Income Research and a Senior Portfolio Manager at EFGAM, having joined EFG in 2007. Michael manages the New Capital Wealthy Nations Bond Fund and New Capital Global Value Credit Fund. He focuses primarily on global fixed income fund management, fixed income strategy and trading. Michael has previously worked at Fidelity International in 2003 where he held a number of roles within risk Management and both equity and fixed income derivative valuations.

Michael holds a BSc in Economics from Birmingham University, the IMC, the CFA UK Certificate in ESG Investing and is a CFA Charterholder.

Grazia is Head of Fund Management for EFGAM Switzerland and a permanent member of different committees. She manages various Fixed Income Funds with Sara Halm (New Capital Fund Lux – EUR Shield, New Capital USD Shield, New Capital Fund Lux Sovereign Plus EUR, New Capital Fund Lux Swiss Franc Bond, New Capital Institutional Bonds CHF and New Capital Institutional Foreign Bond Funds).

She joined EFGAM in March 2017 as part of EFG International’s acquisition of BSI. At BSI, Grazia had been Head of Mutual Funds since May 2012 and Head of Fixed Income since April 2008, having joined the bank in April 2007 as Head of EUR and CHF Bonds. Prior to joining BSI, she was Head of Fixed Income, Treasury & Forex at Aureo Gestioni in Milan (now BCC Risparmio & Previdenza SGR), which she joined back in 1998.

Grazia has won several awards: Lipper Analytics Award (2004) for Aureo Oriente (JPY bond fund), Milano Finanza Award (2005) for Aureo Dollaro (USD bond fund), Morningstar 5* Award (2005) for Aureo Dollaro (USD bond fund) & 1st quartile in Assogestioni ranking in 2003-2004-2005-2006.

Grazia has a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Pavia, Italy, where she majored in Political Economics and Econometrics.

Paulus is the co-fund manager of the New Capital Global Convertible Bond Fund. He joined EFGAM in January 2023 having previously worked at DWS Frankfurt as the Global Head of Convertible Bonds where he was lead fund manager for DWS Invest Convertibles.

Prior to this, Paulus was Managing Director at Jefferies International London, where he was responsible for Institutional convertible bond sales. He has also held roles at Credit Suisse, KBC Financial Products and HSBC.

Paulus holds an Master’s degree in Economics from UM Maastricht University. He is multilingual, speaking Dutch, English, German, Spanish and French.

British Journalist, Writer and Broadcaster, best known for his reporting of Foreign News and International Diplomacy Britain’s best selling author on international affairs, Tim Marshall is the former Diplomatic Editor and Foreign Correspondent for Sky News.

Renowned for his ability to identify the causes underlying world events, he has reported from over thirty countries including 12 wars and conflict zones and has published six books on international relations. His fourth book, Prisoners of Geography, became an iconic New York Times, and Sunday Times bestseller with over two million copies sold worldwide. His latest book is The Future of Geography about Astropolitics. In 1999, Tim was one of the few western journalists to remain in Belgrade, reporting on the Kosovo crisis despite the NATO bombing raids.

His book Shadowplay: The Overthrow of Slobodan Milosevic, was a bestseller in former Yugoslavia and continues to be one of the most highly regarded accounts of that period.

In recent years, he has covered the conflicts in Iraq, Gaza, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria. His 2004 coverage of the Iraq war, and his 2007 report on the Mujahadeen won him a finalist position in the Royal Television Society’s News Event category. Daniel Clifton is a Partner and Head of Policy Research for Strategas Securities.In this capacity, Mr. Clifton evaluates the financial market implications of policy and political developments. This includes analyzing trade, tax, healthcare, energy, and other policy initiatives to determine how public policy changes impact the economy and financial markets for institutional investors.

Daniel leads the #1 ranked Washington policy team on Wall Street according to Institutional Investor magazine. Mr. Clifton has been ranked as a top Washington policy analyst in each of the past eleven years. Daniel is also a top ranked analyst in the category of Tax and Accounting Policy.

Mr. Clifton’s research on the interaction between policy, elections, and financial markets is widely cited in the media and Daniel is a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg, and Fox Business.

Prior to joining Strategas, Mr. Clifton was Executive Director of the American Shareholders Association (ASA), a non-partisan, non-profit organization which analyzes public policy affecting shareholders. Prior to joining ASA, Mr. Clifton lobbied for tax reform and served as a senior staff member in two gubernatorial administrations working on economic and fiscal policy issues. Daniel has also worked in various capacities on elections at federal, state, and local levels.

At BSI, Grazia had been Head of Mutual Funds since May 2012 and Head of Fixed Income since April 2008, having joined the bank in April 2007 as Head of EUR and CHF Bonds. Prior to joining BSI, she was Head of Fixed Income, Treasury & Forex at Aureo Gestioni in Milan (now BCC Risparmio & Previdenza SGR), which she joined back in 1998.

Grazia has won several awards: Lipper Analytics Award (2004) for Aureo Oriente (JPY bond fund), Milano Finanza Award (2005) for Aureo Dollaro (USD bond fund), Morningstar 5* Award (2005) for Aureo Dollaro (USD bond fund) & 1st quartile in Assogestioni ranking in 2003-2004-2005-2006.

Grazia has a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Pavia, Italy, where she majored in Political Economics and Econometrics.

Paulus is the co-fund manager of the New Capital Global Convertible Bond Fund. He joined EFGAM in January 2023 having previously worked at DWS Frankfurt as the Global Head of Convertible Bonds where he was lead fund manager for DWS Invest Convertibles.

Prior to this, Paulus was Managing Director at Jefferies International London, where he was responsible for Institutional convertible bond sales. He has also held roles at Credit Suisse, KBC Financial Products and HSBC.

Paulus holds an Master’s degree in Economics from UM Maastricht University. He is multilingual, speaking Dutch, English, German, Spanish and French.

British Journalist, Writer and Broadcaster, best known for his reporting of Foreign News and International Diplomacy Britain’s best selling author on international affairs, Tim Marshall is the former Diplomatic Editor and Foreign Correspondent for Sky News.

Renowned for his ability to identify the causes underlying world events, he has reported from over thirty countries including 12 wars and conflict zones and has published six books on international relations. His fourth book, Prisoners of Geography, became an iconic New York Times, and Sunday Times bestseller with over two million copies sold worldwide. His latest book is The Future of Geography about Astropolitics. In 1999, Tim was one of the few western journalists to remain in Belgrade, reporting on the Kosovo crisis despite the NATO bombing raids.

His book Shadowplay: The Overthrow of Slobodan Milosevic, was a bestseller in former Yugoslavia and continues to be one of the most highly regarded accounts of that period.

In recent years, he has covered the conflicts in Iraq, Gaza, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria. His 2004 coverage of the Iraq war, and his 2007 report on the Mujahadeen won him a finalist position in the Royal Television Society’s News Event category. Tim has been shot with bird pellet in Cairo, bruised by the police in Tehran, arrested by Serbian intelligence, detained in Damascus, declared persona non grata in Croatia, hit over the head with a plank of wood in London, bombed by the RAF in Belgrade, and tear-gassed all over the world. He is esteemed for his unique capacity to contextualise current affairs. He has extensively analysed, for instance, how geography influences the ways states behave and interact with one another. In his writing on Russian foreign policy, for example, he discusses how the flatland between the Baltic Sea and Carpathian Mountains – modern-day Poland – has for centuries made Russia vulnerable to invasion from Western armies. This has fuelled a historical view amongst Russian leaders of Belarus and Ukraine as buffer zones between Western forces and Moscow, and we can see this view rearing its head in the recent invasion of Ukraine.

Tim also draws from his insights into international relations to predict future affairs and crises, and his work increasingly comments on the intersection of technological advances with political developments. His upcoming book Space explores the geopolitics of space. He highlights that with sky satellites maintaining the world’s economy; space metals being worth more than most countries’ GDP; and people expected on Mars in the next decade, space will increasingly dominate military thinking. The leading superpowers of Russia, America, and China all have space commands and are developing warfighting capabilities for space.

Daniel Clifton is a Partner and Head of Policy Research for Strategas Securities.In this capacity, Mr. Clifton evaluates the financial market implications of policy and political developments. This includes analyzing trade, tax, healthcare, energy, and other policy initiatives to determine how public policy changes impact the economy and financial markets for institutional investors.

Daniel leads the #1 ranked Washington policy team on Wall Street according to Institutional Investor magazine. Mr. Clifton has been ranked as a top Washington policy analyst in each of the past eleven years. Daniel is also a top ranked analyst in the category of Tax and Accounting Policy.

Mr. Clifton’s research on the interaction between policy, elections, and financial markets is widely cited in the media and Daniel is a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg, and Fox Business.

Prior to joining Strategas, Mr. Clifton was Executive Director of the American Shareholders Association (ASA), a non-partisan, non-profit organization which analyzes public policy affecting shareholders. In this capacity, Daniel was part of coalitions that successfully lowered capital gains and dividend tax rates to 15 percent in 2003, a repatriation tax holiday on foreign source revenue in 2004, and reform of the nation’s private-sector pension system.

Prior to joining ASA, Mr. Clifton lobbied for tax reform and served as a senior staff member in two gubernatorial administrations working on economic and fiscal policy issues. Daniel has also worked in various capacities on elections at federal, state, and local levels.

Mr. Clifton received both his BA in Urban Planning and his MS in Public Policy from Rutgers University where he was a Fellow at the Eagleton Institute of Politics and a Harold Martin Fellow for Public Policy.

Moz joined EFG Private Bank in 1994. He is the Global CIO of EFGAM and the CEO of EFGAM (UK). As Chairman of the EFGAM Asset Allocation Committee he has overall supervisory responsibility for the investment process. Moz manages New Capital Strategic Portfolio UCITS. He was appointed director and CIO of EFG Private Bank Limited in March 2003 and director of EFGAM in January 2000. In his previous capacity at EFG, Moz has held a number of roles and has been responsible for the management of a series of fixed income funds and portfolios as well as holding supervisory roles in a number of multi-manager long only and hedge funds.  

Moz holds a BSc in Mathematics from Middlesex University and an MBA from Aston University.
