Prior to his appointment as CEO, Mr Pradelli held the role of Deputy CEO and CFO at EFG International and EFG Bank since January 2014 and June 2012, respectively. Before joining EFG International, he was Head of International Operations at Eurobank Ergasias SA and a member of the Executive Committee, from 2006 until 2012. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Finance Director in London for EFG Bank European Financial Group SA, from 2003 to 2006, participating in major EFG Bank European Financial Group SA restructuring and strategic initiatives, notably the initial public offering of EFG International in 2005.
Mr Pradelli started his career at Deutsche Bank, working in a number of senior management positions including Head of Private & Business Banking in Italy and Head of Business Development for the Private Clients and Asset Management Group in Frankfurt and London from 1991 until 2003.

Stefan Gerlach is Chief Economist at EFG Bank in Zurich. He served as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland in 2011-2015 and as such attended the meetings of the ECB’s Governing Council.
Before that, he was Professor of Monetary Economics and Managing Director of the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. He was also External member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Mauritius and Member of the Monetary Experts Panel of the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.
In 2005-2007 he was Secretary to the Committee on Global Financial System, which was chaired by Vice-Chairman Don Kohn of the Federal Reserve Board, at the BIS in Basel. In 2001-2004 he served as Executive Director and Chief Economist at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Director of the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research.
He spent his early career as an academic in the US before joining the BIS as an economist in 1992.

Prior to entering academia, she served as Regional Training and Development Manager for the Boston Consulting Group where she was responsible for the learning and development of consulting staff in 10 offices across Asia Pacific.
Connson was awarded the LSE Department of Management’s Outstanding Teaching Contribution Award in 2013, was highly commended for Inspirational Teaching in the LSE Student-Led Teaching Excellence Awards 2015 and 2017, and received the LSE Excellence in Education Award in 2018.
Connson holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Business Administration (Organisational Behaviour) from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. in Sociology from Harvard University where she graduated with honours.

Maziar has twenty-five years of experience investing in international and emerging markets. He was a senior member of the Investment Strategy Group at Goldman Sachs, where he identified investment opportunities in emerging markets—including in debt, equities, and currencies—as well as geopolitical and global policy issues with market impact.
Prior to that, Maziar was the head of the Emerging Markets Group at MassMutual/Babson Capital Management. He has also worked for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Long Term Capital Management (LTCM), Putnam Investment Management, and the World Bank.
Maziar holds a doctorate in international finance and economic development, a master of business administration, and a bachelor of business administration from George Washington University. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Maziar’s passion for international politics started involuntarily when the Iranian Revolution interrupted his teenage years.
Mr. Christopher Wood has been publishing his renowned weekly investment report GREED & fear since July 1996. He has been ranked No. 1 Equity Strategist in the Asia Money polls between 2002-2004 and 2006-2022. In 2005 the firm he was working with at the time withdrew from the poll.
Prior to entering the investment business, Wood was a financial journalist. He worked for the Hong Kong-based Far Eastern Economic Review between 1982 and 1984 and The Economist between 1984 to 1994, during which period he was both the New York and Tokyo Bureau Chief. Fergus Argyle is the co-portfolio manager for the New Capital Emerging Markets Future Leaders Fund. Prior to that, he spent two years at Mobius Capital as a partner and investment manager. He started his career at BlackRock and spent five years as a credit and equity analyst.

As Chief Executive Officer, Maziar Minovi is responsible for directing firm strategy and leading oversight of research, sales, and operations teams across Eurasia Group’s global offices.
Maziar has twenty-five years of experience investing in international and emerging markets. He was a senior member of the Investment Strategy Group at Goldman Sachs, where he identified investment opportunities in emerging markets—including in debt, equities, and currencies—as well as geopolitical and global policy issues with market impact.
Prior to that, Maziar was the head of the Emerging Markets Group at MassMutual/Babson Capital Management. He has also worked for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Long Term Capital Management (LTCM), Putnam Investment Management, and the World Bank.
Maziar holds a doctorate in international finance and economic development, a master of business administration, and a bachelor of business administration from George Washington University. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Maziar’s passion for international politics started involuntarily when the Iranian Revolution interrupted his teenage years.

Stefan Gerlach is Chief Economist at EFG Bank in Zurich. He served as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland in 2011-2015 and as such attended the meetings of the ECB’s Governing Council.
Before that, he was Professor of Monetary Economics and Managing Director of the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. He was also External member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Mauritius and Member of the Monetary Experts Panel of the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.
In 2005-2007 he was Secretary to the Committee on Global Financial System, which was chaired by Vice-Chairman Don Kohn of the Federal Reserve Board, at the BIS in Basel. In 2001-2004 he served as Executive Director and Chief Economist at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Director of the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research.
He spent his early career as an academic in the US before joining the BIS as an economist in 1992.

Jonathan has a Masters in Finance from London Business School, an Honours Degree in Econometrics from the University of Johannesburg, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of South Africa. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Joel joined EFGAM in 2016 as a Senior Portfolio Manager with a sector focus on the broad technology universe. Prior to this Joel spent 12 years at Mazama Capital Management where he held various roles within the investment team, most recently managing EFGAM’s New Capital US Growth Fund and running US equity mandates for institutional clients.
Before being promoted to Portfolio Manager in 2007, he was a Senior Research Analyst specialising primarily in the technology sector and certain consumer and industrial companies across all strategies.
Prior to joining Mazama, he was a Senior Equity Research Associate in the technology group at Bank of America Securities and a Senior Research Analyst at Analysis Group, a leading provider of economic and business strategy consulting services.
Joel holds an MBA in Finance and a BA in Economics from UCLA.
Fergus Argyle is the co-portfolio manager for the New Capital Emerging Markets Future Leaders Fund. He joined EFG Asset Management in 2022, having previously worked for five years at Somerset Capital, an emerging markets boutique, where he co-managed the Frontier Markets Fund and was a senior analyst.
Prior to that, he spent two years at Mobius Capital as a partner and investment manager. He started his career at BlackRock and spent five years as a credit and equity analyst.
Fergus has a MA (Hons) degree in Classics from the University of Oxford, which included studying at the Saïd Business School. He also studied Arabic at the University of Damascus and in Sana’a, Yemen.
Melanie joined EFGAM Switzerland in August 2017 and is the Lead Manager of the Climate Transition Strategy. She is also the deputy Fund Manager for the New Capital Swiss Select Equity Fund.
Previously Melanie worked at Credit Suisse where she held a variety of roles including Equity Institutional Sales and Client Portfolio Manager.
Melanie holds a Masters HSG in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen. In addition, she has successfully completed the “Sustainable Finance” program at the University of Cambridge and the “Business Sustainability Strategy” program at MIT Sloan School of Management.
As Chief Executive Officer, Maziar Minovi is responsible for directing firm strategy and leading oversight of research, sales, and operations teams across Eurasia Group’s global offices.
Maziar has twenty-five years of experience investing in international and emerging markets. He was a senior member of the Investment Strategy Group at Goldman Sachs, where he identified investment opportunities in emerging markets—including in debt, equities, and currencies—as well as geopolitical and global policy issues with market impact.
Prior to that, Maziar was the head of the Emerging Markets Group at MassMutual/Babson Capital Management. He has also worked for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Long Term Capital Management (LTCM), Putnam Investment Management, and the World Bank.
Maziar holds a doctorate in international finance and economic development, a master of business administration, and a bachelor of business administration from George Washington University. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Maziar’s passion for international politics started involuntarily when the Iranian Revolution interrupted his teenage years.
Mr. Christopher Wood has been publishing his renowned weekly investment report GREED & fear since July 1996. He has been ranked No. 1 Equity Strategist in the Asia Money polls between 2002-2004 and 2006-2022. In 2005 the firm he was working with at the time withdrew from the poll.
Prior to entering the investment business, Wood was a financial journalist. He worked for the Hong Kong-based Far Eastern Economic Review between 1982 and 1984 and The Economist between 1984 to 1994, during which period he was both the New York and Tokyo Bureau Chief. He was also the author of three acclaimed books while at The Economist. “Boom and Bust: The Rise and Fall of the World’s Financial Markets” published in 1989; “The Bubble Economy: Japan’s Extraordinary Speculative Boom of the ’80s and the Dramatic Bust of the ’90s” published in 1992; and “The End of Japan Inc.: And How the New Japan Will Look” published in 1994.
Moz joined EFG Private Bank in 1994. He is the Global CIO of EFGAM and the CEO of EFGAM (UK). As Chairman of the EFGAM Asset Allocation Committee he has overall supervisory responsibility for the investment process. Moz manages New Capital Strategic Portfolio UCITS. He was appointed director and CIO of EFG Private Bank Limited in March 2003 and director of EFGAM in January 2000. In his previous capacity at EFG, Moz has held a number of roles and has been responsible for the management of a series of fixed income funds and portfolios as well as holding supervisory roles in a number of multi-manager long only and hedge funds.
Moz holds a BSc in Mathematics from Middlesex University and an MBA from Aston University.
